Bradley Rangers V's OHAFC
3 - 1

It seemed spring had finally arrived. Warm conditions and not a breeze in sight finally a game where the weather wasn't a factor. Old House got off to a bad start when they conceded a penalty within 2 minutes. It was converted far down to the keepers right-hand side. Almost straight away Old House started pushing back and Martin Butler had the ball at his feet, only to have the Rangers keeper pluck it straight off him. Old House kept the pressure on, but the closest they came was a great shot from Dan Sheldon from 20 yards out that sailed just over the crossbar. Despite maintaining the pressure Old House went further behind after 25 minutes when a break from Bradley fell on the edge of the 18 yard box. Keeper, Chris Staite, ran for it, but the advancing striker beat him to it and tucked it away. Bradley Rangers threatened again shortly after when their striker beat the offside trapand was one-on-one with the keeper, but Staite made himself big and deflected the shot wide for a corner. Old House were still in the hunt and Butler put a shot just wide as the half was drawing to a close. Shortly after, a great corner in from Tom Haycock found Guy Homer advancing, who headed it in to bring the scoreline to 2 - 1 for half-time.

During the second half, Old House continued to push, but again got caught on the break. Staite was beaten, but as the ball was heading goalwards Steve Brookes got back for a heart-stopping goal-line clearance. As Old House continued to push for the equaliser they couldn't find it and it was Bradley who found the goal again to kill the game and seal their three points.

A disappointing result, despite plenty of chances. Two games left and 7th place is still possible.

6, 4 or 3 points = possible 7th depending on other results and GD

2, 1 or 0 points = 9th

A minimum of 3 points are required to improve our place in the league. Can we improve on last season's 8th place? Will we be able to take our chances and score some more goals than we have been lately?
