Videotone V's OHAFC
2 - 1

After a great start from both sides, Old House Athletic's first chance of the game was put away by Liam Thomas after 2 minutes. Despite some good early pressure from Old House, Videotone came back aftyer 15 minutes to level the score at 1 - 1. Some fantastic end-to-end football followed and both sides had chances, including a great 25-yard volley from Old House's Simon Clarles that went just over the crossbar. The end finished with the scores level.

The second half started as the first ended, with both teams pushing for a goal. Videotone were the ones to capitalise on the sole mistake in an otherwise great performance by keeper John McDermott and went 2 - 1 up 10 minutes into the second half. A great 30 minutes of football followed, which was a delight to watch (despite the appaling weather conditions). Videotone had a panic in the dying seconds which saw Old House have a couple of swipes at the ball in a frantic goal-line scramble, but their goal remained intact and the game finished, seeing Videotone progress through to the next round.

Out of the Coronation cup despite a great performance, Old House look forward to next week's meeting with fellow Division one side Arden Athletic in the first round of the Senior Cup. With a couple of shocks in the league games today and Old House now firing on all cylinders, the future looks much brighter than this time last week.

Will Martin ever pay his subs? Will Mark stop playing with himself? How much does Liam actually owe? Keep watching this space for all the latest Old House news.
